About us
At Villari, we are committed to enhancing the longevity of steel structures in ports, infrastructure, and the steel industry through our groundbreaking crack detection technology. Our permanently installed wireless sensors meticulously identify even the tiniest fatigue cracks in bridges, cranes, and other steel structures, revolutionizing traditional manual inspection services.
Founded in 2019 by Olivier Baas, Villari is a Dutch startup that originated as a spin-out from TU Delft. Since then, our innovative solution has gained the confidence of renowned partners such as Tata Steel, Rijkswaterstaat, and Prorail, alongside industry leaders in respective countries. We have secured over 3.5M in funding from, amongst others, FORWARD.one, Innovation Quarter Capital, and Delft Enterprises.
With a dedicated team of 20 engineers, IT specialists, and commercial experts, we deploy 1300 sensors across 53 assets spanning 7 countries. This widespread network ensures the safety and longevity of critical steel structures on a global scale.

How we hire
Getting to know you
We always begin with an introduction call with our recruiter. This is an opportunity for us to learn about your background, career goals, and what you’re looking for in your next role. You’ll also hear more about the position and the company, setting the stage for what’s to come
First interview
After the initial call, the first formal interview takes place. This is typically with the hiring manager or a team lead. During this interview, we’ll dive deeper into your experience, key skills, and how you approach challenges. It’s also a chance for you to ask questions and learn more about the team and expectations for the role.
Second Interview / Remote Assessment
For senior roles (like Senior Business Developer & Partner Sales Manager), you’ll have a second interview. This one goes deeper into your expertise, strategic thinking, and industry knowledge, and may involve meeting with additional team members or leaders to discuss more complex scenarios.
For medior/junior roles (like Business Development Representative), instead of a second interview, you’ll complete a Remote Assessment. This practical task or case study allows you to demonstrate your skills in action—whether that’s problem-solving, sales, or communication.
Panel Discussion / Call to Discuss Assessment
For senior roles, the next step is a Panel Discussion. This is where you’ll meet with several key stakeholders, potentially from different departments, to assess your technical skills, leadership qualities, and fit within the company’s culture.
For medior/junior roles, after completing your assessment, you’ll have a Call to Discuss the Assessment. We’ll go over your results, talk about your approach, and give you a chance to explain your thought process behind the task.
Offer!
If everything goes well in the previous steps, we’ll move to the Offer stage! At this point, we’re confident that you’re a great fit for the team and role. We’ll discuss the offer details, including salary, benefits, and anything else important to you.
